With the commencement of the first season of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, the update has reached Warzone as well. This is the beginning of the gradual inclusion of a long line of elements from Black Ops Cold War into Warzone. These inclusions might change the meta in the Call of Duty BR title, majorly with respect to weapons.
Players who have been a part of the Warzone community know already that the game does have a reputation of being dominated by a single weapon at a time. Some of the weapons from BOCW stand a chance to dominate the gun meta, replacing the previous kings of Warzone, like the Kilo.
The M16 is perhaps the greatest of the Call of Duty Black Ops weapons currently present in Warzone
Not all the weapons that made their way into Warzone are good enough to be celebrated. For example, the ‘Cigma’. However, there cannot be much doubt regarding the M16 assault rifle.
The weapons that have graced Warzone Black Ops Cold War are kind of similar to their counterparts from the multiplayer modes of BOCW. However, the only feature where they are different is the recoil. The weapons seem to have quite a high recoil in Warzone.
But the M16 assault rifle is one exception. The recoil on this one is quite similar to that in BOCW. The weapon does not have much recoil to begin with, making it one of the more stable weapons in the game. Moreover, the gun features burst-fire mode only, further making it a stable choice.
Moreover, the weapon boasts of a capability to bag 2-3 hit kills in close to medium range (through armor). Even in longer-range gunfights, the M16 has proven to be quite effective. If you equip this with your choice of optic, the M16 becomes an all-rounder in terms of range.
Having said that, it has not been long since the integration of Call of Duty Black Ops COld War into Warzone took place, so it might be too soon to predict whether the M16 will dominate the meta. But we can safely say that it stands a good chance to do so.
