Taapsee Pannu’s next project’s title inspired by Saif Ali Khan’s popular track Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?
has been going places these days. The actress, who has won hearts with her stint in movies like Pink, Saand Ki Aankh, Manmarziyaan etc, has many more interesting movies in her kitty at the moment. Interestingly, the Thappad actress has also been roped in to play the lead in Siddharth Roy Kapur’s upcoming production. But what’s making Taapsee’s new project as the talk of the town is its interesting title. This Siddharth Roy Kapur production has been titled as ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?’
While the wheels of your mind must have started churning with the tunes of and Sonali Kulkarni’s popular number of the same title from Dil Chahta Hai, the title of Taapsee’s movie has been inspired from the song. Talking about the same Siddharth expressed his gratitude towards Dil Chaha Hai makers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and stated, “I’d like to thank my friends Farhan and Ritesh for so graciously permitting us to use as our title the name of their song from the iconic Dil Chahta Hai, that so perfectly captures the theme of our film!”
To note Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? which will also feature Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story fame Pratik Gandhi in the lead chronicles the fun ride that ensues upon the collision of two diametrically opposite personalities – a feisty cop (to be essayed by Taapsee) and a chauvinistic brat (to be essayed by Pratik). Written and to be directed by Arshad Syed, the movie is expected to hit the floors by the end of this year.
