Sushant Singh Rajput case: NCB’s charge sheet says Rhea Chakraborty procured drugs & supplied to late actor
The NCB has recently submitted a charge sheet in connection with the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The central agency has reportedly invoked the charge of illicit trafficking and harboring offenders against the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and 32 other persons in the submitted charge sheet. This comes under Section 27A of the NDPS Act and leads to a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison. NCB has made any other claims in the same.
According to the central agency, Rhea gave consent to the delivery of drugs at her residence since November 2019 and also facilitated her residence to Sushant for the consumption of drugs. Not only that but NCB also claims that she financed the illicit trafficking of drugs. She reportedly funded the same with the help of her brother Showik Chakraborty. So, the agency has stated that Rhea Chakraborty conspired to procure, sell, and transport, possess, and both import and export interstate drugs.
She is also said to have dealt with bud, marijuana, and ganja. Apart from that, the charge sheet says that not only Rhea but her brother Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, cook Dipesh Sawant, and another accused named Rishikesh Pawar procured and supplied drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput. While some of them are out on bail, a few others remain in prison. Meanwhile, NCB has also revealed that they will file a separate charge sheet against Karishma Prakash, Komal Rampal, Swapna Pubby, and 14 other people. Moreover, the investigation is said to continue further.
