Suriya’s fans go gaga as makers of Soorarai Pottru release deleted scenes from the Sudha Kongara directorial
The makers of Suriya’s previous film Soorarai Pottru have released some deleted scenes from the film, which are now going viral on social media. One of the scenes shows Maara (played by Suriya) working at Bommy’s (played by Aparna Balamurali) bakery asking for orders from a family. It also shows Urvasi leaving their home and shifting to a make shift tent to stay. As today marks the 100th day of the film’s release, these videos have come as a treat to the fans.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film has Suriya and Aparna Balamurali as the lead actors. Soorarai Pottru is based on the life of Air Deccan CEO Gopinath. Originally, the film was planned for a summer 2020 release. However, it did not happen owing to the ongoing COVID 19. It had a direct release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. It has also been co-produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga, and GV Prakash has composed music.

Meanwhile, it was announced by the makers that the film has even joined the Oscar race. Reports also suggest that the film has entered the 3rd round of Golden Globe Awards. The panel members of the Golden Globe Awards are reportedly impressed with the film and it has been selected for the next level of screening. Soorarai Pottru competes in all categories including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Composer and Best Writer.
