Allen Lazard has proven to be a crucial role player for the Green Bay Packers. Throughout his time with the Packers, Lazard has come up big in key moments, despite not being a starter in either unit of the team.
While Lazard is yet to be given the credit of being a key player, he has shown that he can be counted on when the Packers need him.
Packers player Davante Adams spoke in an interview recently. When asked about the importance of Lazard to the Packers, he gave a very interesting response. Adams was jovial and joked about his nickname in the team, but had kind words for Lazard.

Additionally, Adams shared how much he appreciated the work he does for the Packers, and the thankless defensive effort that Lazard puts in
“He means everything to it honestly. Having him around has made my job much easier. They call him ‘The Goon’ for a reason. We got a certain personnel package where it’s called 11 Goon.
“It’s him, and two other guys in there that don’t mind throwing their nose in there and going to block a linebacker, safety.”
He added, “I think he gets a lot of credit for that type of stuff which is great but he doesn’t get enough credit for what he can do as a pass-catcher as well…
“People forget what he’s able to do and what he does consistently, which is catch the ball really well and fight for extra yardage. And I’ve seen him continue to evolve in that way since he’s been here.”
Lazard, Rodgers, and the Packers will be entering the Playoffs this year as one of the favorites. After completing the season with a 13-3 record, the Packers will be hoping to return to the Super Bowl.
They will find out their opponents after the Wild Card Round of the Playoffs. But one thing is for certain- Green Bay Packers are a real threat this season.
