Janhvi Kapoor’s Nadiyon Paar look from Roohi reminds us of late Sridevi’s Hawa Hawai look from Mr India
Janhvi Kapoor has managed to raise the bar high when it comes to her on-screen performances. From Dhadark to The Kargil Girl and now with Roohi, the actress has set the screen ablaze! In the first song, Nadiyon Paar from Roohi, the diva is seen with heavy makeup and a sultry gold outfit that showed off her toned body. While the video was all about the diva showing off her moves, there were several times we felt her look was eerily similar to that of ‘s in Hawa Hawaii from Mr India! Take a look.
In Hawa Hawai, Sridevi sported a gold halter neck floor-length gown in which she shone bright! Her outfit bore a slit on one side and she accessorised her look heavily with a gold crown, bangles and matching heavy earrings. It was Sri’s makeup that stole the show, though! With a flawless base, Sridevi’s look was all about looking over the top and glamorous. Heavy blush red cheeks, glossy scarlet red lips, filled-in brows and loads of gold eyeshadow on her lids ensured she glittered! Her eyes were further lined with black kohl to further enhance them while she showed off her moves on the dance floor.
Coming to Janhvi, the diva’s look wasn’t too different from her mothers, just a little muted. While Sridevi’s look was high on gloss and glitter, her daughter Janhvi’s bore a matte finish.Over a flawless base, Janhvi’s look was all about filled-in bushy brows, deep red cheeks and a bright lipstick that matched her cheeks. Muted gold eyelids with kohl-lined eyes and loads of mascara, enhanced Janhvi’s features in the song enabling her to look like a younger version of her late mother! For the Nadiyon Paar video, the diva was also decked up in a gold outfit. A one-shoulder sequin blouse and matching sequin gold skirt with a thigh-high slit and loads of chiffon to enable movement was all about Janhvi’s glam avatar!
