Social media sensations- Logan Paul and Jake Paul are now boxers. Well, they are nowhere close to the professional elites but the Paul brothers are two of the biggest names in the sport today.
Logan Paul is just one fight old and Jake Paul is two fights down in the business. However, their internet stardom, brashy personality, and the ability to garner attention have made them reach the top.
No matter what they do or whom they fight, ‘The Maverick’ and ‘The Problem Child’ always grab the headlines.
A few days back, Jake Paul called out Conor McGregor to fight him in the boxing ring. Also, Logan Paul will now face Floyd Mayweather in his upcoming encounter on February 20, 2021, at the Tokyo Dome.
That said, the Paul brothers are aiming at the right men in the sport. But, do they really have boxing abilities to face them?
Maybe not, but both the brothers have some athletic features that separate them from the other Youtubers or celebrities who are trying to enter the squared circle.
They have big physiques and know how to throw punches. However, Logan Paul and Jake Paul are untested against each other.
So, who is the better pugilist between them? Let’s have a look.
Jake Paul vs Logan Paul- The Better Boxer
Logan Paul began the trail of YouTubers entering the boxing ring when he faced KSI for the first time in 2018 for the YouTube boxing championship.
It wasn’t a professional bout and ended in a draw. However, the rematch happened under proper boxing rules where KSI outclassed Logan Paul via decision.
So, it makes ‘The Maverick’ 0-1 in boxing before he enters the ring against the unbeaten five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather, who is 50-0.
Meanwhile, Jake Paul is unbeaten and has a pro-record of 2-0. His maiden win came via TKO against Ali Eson Gib in January 2020.
The outcome brought all the spotlights on Jake Paul and he followed it up with his sensational KO win over NBA player Nate Robinson on the undercard of Tyson vs Jones Jr. on November 28.
‘The Problem Child’ has a better resume than his brother. But, boxing is not all about stats. Let’s take a look at some features the Paul brothers carry.
Both of them are big built cruiserweights. As per Box Rec, Logan Paul is 6’2″ tall and has a reach of 76″.
‘The Problem Child’ is an inch shorter than his brother, but has a similar reach. The fighting style is also different between them.
While Logan Paul appears to be much composed, Jake always hunts for a KO. It isn’t a parameter to judge, but considering their minor experience, Jake Paul seems more eager to win.
Only time will tell, whether Logan Paul can register a professional win. Till then, the younger Paul will apparently be a better boxer than him.
