“I Don’t See It Passing Any Past Like Six Rounds”- Teofimo Lopez Believes He Will Knockout George Kambosos Jr.
Unified 135 lbs champion Teofimo Lopez is confident about defending his titles against the unbeaten Australian in George Kambosos Jr. next. Still fresh from his win over Vasyl Lomachenko, Lopez hunted for several names in the lightweight division before setting on ‘Ferocious’ George.
Meanwhile, ‘Take Over’ Lopez has acknowledged his nearing adversary for his commendable achievements. However, he envisioned that he will stop him within the first six rounds. The 23-year-old connected with NEXGEN Sports and previewed his upcoming fight for the fans.
“He (George Kambosos Jr.) is in front of me, he is my mandatory, and the whole thing you know really now is you know, just going out there and finishing with a knockout,” said Teofimo Lopez.
He added, “But we see how this fight goes man, but I don’t see it passing any past like six rounds. But you know, gotta give the guy credit and see what he brings.”
Akin to Lopez, boxing analysts should also put some respect on Kambosos Jr’s name. In an active pro career of six years, the 27-year-old has successfully walked amongst the talented boxers and has earned himself the title shot.
If he successfully lands an upset against Lopez, it would change the entire structure of the lightweight division, propelling ‘Fearless’ Kambosos Jr. into the mix.
