The feud between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. doesn’t seem to stop. The rivalry has ignited even more after the latter’s fresh remarks on his fellow welterweight champion at the Canelo vs Smith fight. The ‘Bud’ Crawford just couldn’t hold back on Errol’s remarks.
“I just laugh like this guy, he’s on his high horse. Maybe that wreck knocked a couple of screws loose.”
“Listen, if it (the fight) happens, it happens. If it don’t, then it don’t. I don’t know what he’s gonna do or what his plans are, so I can’t speak on it. He got something else on his agenda, obviously.”
He concluded by saying, “I don’t care about what other people ask him or what his reply is.”
The ‘Bud’ mocked Spence Jr for considering himself as the welterweight king. He maintained that he doesn’t care about fighting Spence Jr anymore. Crawford believed ‘The Truth’ might have some other plans (hinting towards a Canelo fight) instead of confronting him.
Crawford seemed uninterested in Spence Jr’s response of fighting him out.
Where will Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr.’s rivalry end?
Terence Crawford is the WBO champion, whereas Spence Jr is the WBC and IBF world champion. The fight between the duo is highly important in the welterweight division. Both the boxers have marched to the top and maintained their undefeated streaks.
The only place where Crawford and Spence can settle their scores is inside the ring. The beef going on between them just adds up to the hype of this classic 147-pound battle.
Their promotions need to sit together and reach a positive conclusion. Both the fighters are currently without an opponent. So this looks like just the correct time to book it.
