There’s just no stopping Josh Allen. The Buffalo Bills quarterback put his side in the lead, going into the second half in the Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Bills courtesy of Allen’s rushing touchdown now lead the Colts 10-14. Josh Allen has recorded 8 rushing touchdowns in the regular season this year. This is his first in the Playoffs.
Josh Allen is never shy to make a run in the endzone
Drafted back in 2018, Josh Allen has always been elusive on his feet. With 18 seconds left on the clock in the first half, the Bills lined up 1st and Goal at the Colts’ 5-yard-line.
After faking a run play, Allen proceeded to take matters into his own hands. Down 10-7, Allen rushed into the endzone breaking tackles to get his side the lead.
The QB with the touchdown ended the first quarter with 138 passing yards and 43 rushing yards to his name. In the running for the MVP title, Allen is proving that he’s no regular-season wonder.
Surreal TD pass earlier in the game
Often at the receiving end of criticism due to his lackluster passing performances in the past, Allen is out to prove critics wrong.
Lining up at 2nd and Goal at the Colts’ 3-yard-line, Allen’s first passing touchdown of the game was courtesy of an attempted run play. Though this one was botched by the Colts’ defense.
Right after the snap, Josh Allen looked set to run the ball himself. But failing to find space, Allen soon had to improvise to avoid being sacked yet again.
Allen looped the ball in the air to TE Dawson Knox at the endzone to get the Bills’ first points on the board. With their last playoff win coming all the way back in 1995, the Bills will be hoping to extend their lead going into the 2nd half.
A dual-threat quarterback with an ever-improving arm, Allen looks like just what the Bills needed all these years.
