From Daniel Bryan’s Victory to Ronda Rousey’s In-Ring Debut – The Loudest Pops in WrestleMania History
In its illustrious history, WrestleMania has gifted the fans with many memorable moments. Thanks to the live audience (except WrestleMania 36), every surprise came to exist with a loud ‘pop’ from the crowd.
In its latest countdown video, WWE uploaded a list of the loudest pops in WrestleMania history. We will divide the pops into various parts – when a Superstar wins a title, when two heavyweights come face to face or when a Superstar returns to the grandest stage of them all.
Crowd Reaction to incredible moves at WrestleMania
The first crowd reaction on the list was the time when Shane McMahon returned to WWE against The Undertaker. At WrestleMania 32, the duo had a Hell in a Cell match, and McMahon did a “Leap of Faith” from the top of the cell to the broadcast table. Although Shane lost the match, his moves received massive appreciation.
Next move-special pop comes in at number 7. During a TLC match at WrestleMania 17, Edge jumped off another ladder and speared a hanging Jeff to the ground at a height of 12 feet. The match was to determine the Tag Team champions and Edge and Christian won it, eventually.
The last match in this part comes at number 4 and at WM 31. In a singles match, Randy Orton faced Seth Rollins. The former won the match following an RKO with added elevation as Orton countered Rollins’ “Curb Stomp” by propelling Rollins up into the air.
The crowd reacts to returns at WrestleMania
Usually, the returns have an amazing reception. Most of the returns are kept highly secretive to achieve the maximum impact. The first return in the loudest pops list goes back to WM 8 when the Ultimate Warrior returned to save his long-time enemy Hulk Hogan.
The next return onto the list came at number 5 when The Undertaker returned to face his brother Kane at WM 20. Previously, Kane had buried Taker alive, and this time, Undertaker emerged as the “Deadman” once again.
The stadium erupts for face-Offs
The two face-offs on this list are very interesting. The first one is from the inter-gender tag team match at WrestleMania 34. In her in-ring debut, Ronda Rousey dominated Triple H completely, getting a huge pop from the crowd.
The next face-off came in at number 2 when The Rock and Hulk Hogan fought each other in a highly-publicized “Icon vs Icon” match at WrestleMania 18.
The ultimate crowd reactions at WrestleMania
This is the foolproof way of getting a pop out of the crowd at WrestleMania. From Becky Lynch’s double victory and Kofi Kingston’s first WWE title win at WM 35 to Daniel Bryan’s WWE title win at WM 30, the victories always came with thunderous applause from the crowd.
Often, the main pops come from the main events. Hopefully, at this WrestleMania too, there will be some major surprises and pops as it is the first WWE live event with a crowd.
