EXCLUSIVE: Thakur Anoop Singh to reprise Suriya’s role in the Hindi remake of Singam 3; Deets Inside
It’s raining remakes in Bollywood. Pinkvilla had recently reported that Vikram, Nayanthara and Nithya Menen starrer 2016 Tamil film, Iru Mugan’s Hindi remake is in the works. Original film’s director Anand Shankar will helm the Hindi version as well. Jersey, RX 100, Thadam and Mohanlal’s Drishyam 2 remakes are already announced. Moreover we know that Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan starrer S 3 aka Singam 3’s Hindi remake is in the works, and Pinkvilla has now learnt that the makers have finally found their leading man.
“Filmmaker Jayantilal Gada has the Hindi remake rights of S 3 and the film is presently in the scripting stage. Actor Thakur Anoop Singh who had played the main villain in the original will play the lead protagonist in the Hindi version. Apparently earlier he was supposed to reprise his original role from S 3, but now will play the main lead in the remake. The movie is expected to roll in the second half of the year. This film will mark his debut as a lead in Hindi cinema. The makers are in the process of finalising the director,” informs a source close to the development. S 3 is a 2017 Tamil action film that was directed by Hari.
Reportedly, Sunny Deol was earlier supposed to be a part of the film.
Meanwhile, Gada is also producing the Hindi remake of the 2005 Telugu actioner Chatrapathi, which was directed by SS Rajamouli and had featured Prabhas in the lead. It’s Hindi version will be headlined by Bellamkonda Sreenivas.
