Drive to Survive Season 3 Officially Completed as Netflix F1 Series Gears up for Release

Netflix will once again come back with the F1 Drive to Survive series covering the 2020 season. Traditionally, the first two seasons of the series get released in February. That allows for an interesting recap and perspective on the previous season a month before the new one begins.

The 2020 F1 season was different than the usual ones. Pandemic postponed the 2020 season, with new races and new race wins. The Drive to Survive crew was also faced with the challenge of shooting while adhering to the stringent social distancing protocols.

We are half-way through February and there is still no trailer or release date update. However, the team has clarified that the editing is complete and hopefully the series should be available on Netflix relatively soon.

Moments to look forward from F1 Drive to Survive season 3

The series has become one of the most famous docuseries by allowing millions of F1 fans to get behind the scenes footage. The series allows the fans to feel closer to the drivers, teams and the sport altogether.

A lot happened in the 2020 F1 season and it will be interesting to get a different perspective from individuals on the grid. For instance, the earlier 2020 shock was Ferrari announcing the Sebastian Vettel will not continue with the Maranello outfit in 2021.

Lewis Hamilton’s record-equaling wins. Pierre Gasly and Sergio Perez claiming their debut wins. Lance Stroll clocking in his first pole position, Nico Hulkenberg‘s adventurous season, Red Bull’s second driver decision, Grosjean’s unfortunate accident, and Russell’s one-weekend stand with Mercedes.

The season ended with a lot of changes for the 2021 season. Teams rebranding, drivers changing outfits and three drivers making their Formula 1 debut. Overall, the season delivered everything from happiness, excitement, sadness, frustration, to hope.
