Blake Shelton dishes out details about his proposal to Gwen Stefani; Latter’s oldest son played a big role
Blake Shelton has officially put a ring on it! The singer who proposed to Gwen Stefani opened up about his proposal story in an interview with Access Hollywood. Dishing out key details of the proposal, Blake revealed that it did feel like it was a “blur”. He also revealed that Gwen’s oldest son played an important role during the teary-eyed proposal.
Shelton said, “It’s kind of a blur, honestly. I remember, after I asked her, there was some crying and things, and Gwen’s oldest son Kingston, 14, was sitting right next to us when this happened.”
He added that having Gwen’s son was a good thing since he heard what his mum’s answer was. “Gwen at one moment said, ‘Wait a minute, did I answer you? Did I say yes out loud?’” Blake continued. “And even I was wondering! And Kingston said, ‘Mom, yeah, you did. I heard you say yes,’” The Voice coach revealed.
Blake confirmed that he had no idea how short or long the proposal was. “I don’t know how long it took, but that’s how it happened,” he concluded.
Gwen and Blake met on the sets of The Voice and began dating in 2015. They got engaged back in October 2016 and plan to get married this year with Gwen’s three sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, by their side.
